Adhering to the academic spirit of “cultivating character  with composure, refining purity with wisdom, guiding freedom with rules, and achieving quality with details,” we aim to build upon a flexible and diverse curriculum system that fosters a harmonious and inclusive learning environment. With our multicultural and integrated curricula, we will nurture international Bohui elites with Chinese foundation, International vision, leadership and devotion to family and country, and cultivate talented teenagers with “rules in spirit, and rules in life”.

基于教育部新颁《中国学⽣发展核⼼素养》，秉持 “ 以⼈为 本”的全⼈教育理念，学部将校本课程和学科课程相结合，构 建起独特的 “融悦”课程体系，以国家标准课程为核⼼基础，延 伸出“国际理解、创智未来、乐活审美、慧启幸福”四⼤特⾊课 程，构建 “多学科跨领域”学习共同体。

Based on the newly issued Core Competencies for the Development of Chinese students by the Ministry of Education and adhering to the holistic education concept   of “people-oriented”,the division combines school- based curriculum with subject curriculum to construct a unique “integrated and joyful”curriculum system. With national standard curriculum as the core foundation, four   distinctive courses of “International Understanding, Creating Wisdom for the Future, Happy Life Aesthetics, and Wisdom Enlightening Happiness”are extended to build a “multi-disciplinary and cross-field”learning community.

以兴趣与技能、健体与科技、创新思维与合作为核⼼，构建初中社团课 程体系，专业型社团与研究型社团并⾏，师⽣共研和STEAM课程融通，联合 苏州⾼新技术科研单位与实践基地，重点培养学⽣的思维品质、⾃主探究 能⼒与对知识的拓展和创造。

Centering on interests and skills, physical fitness and technology,  innovative thinking, and cooperation, we have constructed a junior  high school club curriculum system that runs in parallel with professional-based clubs and research clubs, as well as the fusion of teacher-student co-research and STEAM. In cooperation with corresponding companies and organizations in SND, we aim to cultivate students’thinking quality, independent inquiry ability, as well as their ability to expand and create knowledge.

本课程将理论与实践相结合，运⽤丰富的案例搭建互动式学习平台，充分激发学⽣学习兴趣，并与⾼中物理课程相衔接，与⽣物、化学等课 程相关联，具有整体性、实践性、创新性等特点。培养了学⽣从物理学视⻆感知、探索、理解世界的能⼒，逐步形成关于物质、运动、相互作⽤、能 量等的基本知识框架，优化学⽣对客观事物的本质属性、内在规律及相互关系的认识⽅式。培养学⽣的创新精神和实践能⼒，以及能够基于经 验事实建构物理模型的能⼒。在分析、推理、论证、质疑等关键思维训练中促进学⽣全⾯发展。

This course integrates theory with practice, leveraging a plethora of case studies to establish an interactive learning environment that vigorously sparks students’intellectual curiosity. It interfaces with high school physics curricula and correlates with subjects like biology and chemistry, embodying holistic, practical, and innovative characteristics. It nurtures students’capacity to perceive, explore, and comprehend the world through a physics lens, gradually constructing a foundational knowledge framework encompassing matter, motion, interaction, and energy. Reading Elite Class has its unique sports system based on the development of boys in adolescence. National PE courses work well with school sports. Through a comprehensive assessment of sports ability, students are   helped to build up teamwork spirit and competitiveness,   most importantly, the physical qualities. Apart from basketball, football, badminton and table tennis, we also   provide aggressive sports like rowing, Judo, fencing and athletics.

视觉与表演艺术 Visual and Performing Arts

视觉与表演艺术是雷丁班⼀⼤特⾊。通过实践，学⽣将⽂ 理科所学知识以特定的艺术表现形式予以展现并实现学科融 合。帮助学⽣认识⾃我，培养洞察⼒和批判性思维，提升解构 与分析能⼒。学校为学⽣实践提供⼴袤的平台，迎新晚会、校 园开放⽇ 、戏剧节、慈善⾳乐会等精彩不断，贯穿全年。

Visual and Performing Arts is a feature of Reading Elite Class (REC). Through practice, students will show what they have learned in Arts and Science, in a specific artistic expression form, to present the integration of scientific and humanity studies. The students can develop their self-recognition, insight, critical thinking,       decoding and analysing abilities. Also, SSFLS offers a platform for students to practice, such as New Year’s party, school Open Day, Drama Festival, Charity Concert     and so on through the whole year.
