Easter and Riddle
Many wonderful things happen during Spring. Baby animals are born, the weather starts to get warmer, and the days get longer. One important holiday also takes place in Spring, Easter.
Easter is now celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon on the Spring Equinox between March 22nd and April 25th.When many people think about Easter they think of Spring, treats from the Easter Bunny and Egg Hunts, and other celebrations.
This year at school, we combined a few traditions of Easter with our studies. To culminate our unit on living things, our students wrote English riddles about living and non-living things, then we hid these riddles in the plastic eggs for them to find. After they found these eggs and solved the riddles, students could get a chocolate Easter Egg as their Easter treat. In this way, the students were able to enjoy traditional Easter activities and learn at the same time!
Happy easter!
