Fusion II Department held a “Camping Night" activity this Thursday to appreciate the beauty of nature, enjoy the fruits of growth and go to a beautiful place. Let us take a closer look at the experience of the camping night with the children of Fusion II.

一年级孩子们已经在探究课围绕“我们是谁”这个主题,学习了分享、帮助他人和团队合作等美好的品质。露营中,孩子们一起分享食物、玩具和书籍。团队合作不仅发生在同学之间,还流向家庭内部。孩子们在用自己的行为诠释着 “关爱他人”和“遵守纪律”。
The first graders had already learned about the wonderful qualities of sharing, helping others and teamwork in their inquiry class around the theme of "who we are". At camp, the children shared food, toys, and books. Teamwork not only happens among classmates but also flows into the family. The children demonstrated "caring for others" and "discipline" through their behaviour.
二年级通过第一单元的探究,孩子们学习了如何做决定以及保持生活和学习的平衡。孩子们甄选的健康食物让他们保持健康,精简的随身衣物让他们温暖好眠,游戏和反思让他们有玩有思,娃娃和书籍的陪伴让他们身体和心灵都有依靠。
In Year 2, through the first unit of inquiry, the children learned how to make decisions and maintain a balance between life and learning. The children selected healthy foods to keep them healthy, streamlined clothing to keep them warm and sleepy, games and reflections to keep them playing and thinking, and dolls and books to keep their bodies and minds together.
露营期间,三年级学生在观察自己的榜样并向他们学习。孩子们更加有原则,怀着开阔的胸襟和不同年级的学生交流,关爱和帮助着小伙伴,通过阅读来让自己知识渊博,及时反思……
During the camping trip, the third graders observed their role models and learned from them. The children were principled, communicating with different grade levels with an open mind, caring for and helping their little ones, reading to make themselves knowledgeable and reflecting on time.
四年级学生走出了日常生活学习的舒适区,成为了敢于冒险的实践者。没有父母陪伴的夜晚,孩子们更深的感受到父母付出和支持。
Fourth graders stepped out of their comfort zone of everyday learning and became daring risk-takers. On nights without their parents, the children feel more deeply about their parents' commitment and support.
五年级的学生已探究了“想要和需要”的共同点和区别,以及如何根据具体情境来做出合适的选择。从选择和整理物品到把物品独自带到学校这个过程,孩子们既要思考和做决定,还要体验决定带来的直接结果。
Fifth graders have explored the commonalities and differences between "wants and needs" and how to make appropriate choices for specific situations. From choosing and organising items to bringing them to school alone, children were thinking and making decisions, also experiencing the direct results of those decisions.

说到露营之夜的活动,可谓是丰富多彩。通过搭帐篷,孩子们既锻炼了动手能力,又体验到了团队合作的力量。
When it comes to camping nights, the activities are varied. Through tent building, the children could exercise their hands and experience the power of teamwork.
才艺表演的环节让在场的观众沉醉在视听盛宴中。唱歌、弹钢琴、吉他弹奏、武术、跆拳道、猫步、太空步,轮滑舞蹈,孩子们在用不同的方式向世界表达、和自我沟通。在一片片笑声和掌声中,我们也更加了解彼此,亲情、友情、师生情在此升温。
The talent show was an audio-visual feast for the audience. Singing, piano playing, guitar playing, martial arts, taekwondo, catwalk, spacewalk, roller skating and dancing, the children expressed themselves to the world and communicated with each other in diverse ways. In a piece of laughter and applause, we also get to know each other better; family, friendship, and teacher-student relationships developed here.
一个温馨舒适的帐篷、一盏露营灯、一本有趣的书和你想要共读的人,这就是阅读时间需要的所有。美好的夜空下,每个小帐篷里都有一个故事正在被讲述,一些奇思妙想正在被酝酿。
A warm and comfortable tent, a camping light, an interesting book, and the person you want to read with that is all you need for reading time. Under the beautiful night sky, there was a story being told and some whimsical ideas being brewed in each small tent.

在融合二部,反思既是老师和学生的日常行为,也是我们教学和成长的方法之一。露营之夜的第二天上午,老师和学生们坐下来仔细反思这次露营之夜的所得所学。我们的成长和智慧也在每次反思中滋生发芽。
At Inclusion II, reflection is a daily practice for teachers and students and one of the ways we teach and grow. The morning after camp night, teachers and students sat down to reflect on what they had learned from the camp night. Our growth and wisdom grow and germinates with each reflection.

October is the month of National Day and the upcoming 20th Party Congress. To express our love for our country, all the students in the Fusion II Department built a special wall with their bodies - I love China for our homeland, thanking this hot land that nourishes us and wishing our native country prosperity and strength!

Virdee老师
孩子在远离爸爸妈妈的情况下独自思考和处理每一件小事。他们体验如何和不同年龄阶段的孩子相处,他们想办法处理远离父母时的焦虑。美味的零食和有趣的游戏考验着孩子们的思考力和选择力。
Mr. Virdee said that children think and deal with every little thing alone away from mom and dad. They experience how to have a good relationship with children of different ages; figure out how to deal with the anxiety they feel when they are away from their parents. Tasty snacks and fun games evaluate the children's thinking and choice-making skills.

露营之夜是一次锻炼孩子们独自解决问题的能力和团队合作能力的绝佳机会。孩子们有了很多的机会和朋友、家人、老师在不同的项目中进行合作。
Mr. Josh said the camping night was a chance for the children to work on their critical thinking skills alone and as a team. The children had many opportunities to collaborate with friends, family, and teachers on different projects.

我最喜欢的就是可以和自己的同学Roy一起分享同一个帐篷。我还和同学一起在露营灯下阅读书籍,很温馨很帅气。露天电影既好看好玩,还近亲自然。
Yahya said that his favourite part was being able to share the same tent with his classmate Roy. He also read books with his classmates under the camping lights, which were very cosy and handsome. The open-air movie was exciting and fun but also close to nature.

A G2 parent said she was glad that because of the camping night, her child had the opportunity to socialise and think and deal with problems alone. In addition, it was a test of the children's ability to follow the rules. In the open camping playground, the children needed to think more about the boundaries of the rules.

In Fusion II, parents are an essential part of the learning community and are incredibly supportive of their children and classes in terms of learning and activities. We see volunteer parents setting up tents, communicating, helping each other, and distributing supplies. We want to say, "Dear parents, it's great to have your support!"
露营之夜是孩子们突然长大的一晚,是孩子们快乐的一晚。露营之夜已过,新的征程已开始!
The camping night was a night when the children suddenly grew up and were happy. The camping night is over, and a new journey has begun!
